Employer contributions
Your employer also makes contributions to your pension. As of July 1, 2021, your employer contributes about 18.2% of pensionable earnings or about $2.57 for every dollar contributed by members. As time goes on, 50/50 cost-sharing will be reached in the interest of maintaining a sustainable pension plan together.

Who manages the pension fund investments?
Assets of the WISE Trust are invested by a team of investment professionals at the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO) in accordance with the WISE Trust’s target asset mix and Statement of Investment Policies and Procedures.
IMCO was created to serve Ontario’s public-sector. Managing $70 billion of assets, including $3.8 billion of assets held by WISE Trust as of December 31, 2020, IMCO operates independently of government and is guided by a highly experienced and professional board of directors.
