Governance & The Board of Trustees
A Board of Trustees oversees WISE Trust with a fiduciary duty to act in members’ best interests. Supported by independent experts, the Board oversees Plan investments, sets key policies and helps ensure your pension remains sustainable for the future.
Senior Leadership
The WISE Trust Management Team leads the day-to-day operation of the Plan, ensuring it is administered effectively and in accordance with the Board’s strategic direction.

Plan Sponsors
The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) and the Ontario Compensation Employees Union (OCEU) are the joint sponsors of the WSIB Employees’ Pension Plan. They established WISE Trust to administer the Plan through a jointly sponsored pension plan model with equal sponsor representation.
The sponsors are responsible for the Plan’s design and funding, including contribution and benefit levels in accordance with the Funding Policy. They also appoint the Trustees who oversee WISE Trust and the administration of the Plan.
